I’ve felt the pain of hiring writers who don’t understand the problems consultants solve. I was the point person writing a McKinsey whitepaper summarizing learnings from a study. I’d spend hours drafting pages and turn them in to the professional writer helping us. I’d get back pages and find the content replaced with pretty words with little meaning. If you work with me, you’ll get both the business insights and the pretty writing.  

I’ve hired ex-consultants as writers only to find their work requires substantial editing. As the content manager for a case interview coaching service, I hired over a dozen former consultants as writers. This worked better than my experience on the whitepaper, but I found that most consultants don’t have the tight text and relatable voice you need to connect with your target audience. I ended up doing a lot of editing.
